Applications

Retina vision systems are state of the art turnkey inspection systems designed to provide high value quality assurance and process control. They are the ideal solution for high resolution, 100% part inspection of in-process sorting and gauging operations at production speeds of 60 to 600 parts per minute. Retina vision systems are capable of simultaneously making multiple attribute inspections and surface flaw analysis of each field of view as well as real-time image enhancements. Retina vision systems have broad application and are widely used to inspect multiple attribute verification, thread sorting, crack/void detection, color sorting, surface finish detection and more.

For over 30 years, Retina Systems personnel have provided non-contact, automated turnkey inspection systems, packaging systems, application expertise, service and support. Our patented laser and vision inspection systems provide 100% quality assurance for customers worldwide.

Ensuring Quality Control and Precision

At Retina Systems, our mission is to ensure the parts you are using on your assembly lines are of the highest quality and it is important for us to refine our inspection systems to ensure near-uniformity of good parts ejected from the system. Additionally, all systems are tested for dynamic system repeatability, come equipped with MINITAB® statistical software and are able to record data in real time so the operator can test for both accuracy and precision at any time. Retina Systems has the industry’s only statistically certified inspection solution and advanced vision technology for “Zero Defects” inspection.

M.O.R.E. Reporting

Monitoring Operations and Reporting Efficiencies (M.O.R.E. Reporting) comes standard on all Retina Systems inspection systems. This gives management the production data they want to track and helps to predict throughput and system efficiencies.

M.O.R.E. Reports are also able to keep track of efficiencies by system operator. Management is able to see important attributes, such as number of good parts, reject percentage, downtime, and efficiency by machine or operator. This makes it easier to identify if a particular machine is undergoing difficulties and needs to be attended to by Retina Systems personnel, who are always willing to repair anything that may be decreasing system efficiency.

Data Recorder

Our data recorder is also included with all Retina inspection systems. This allows operators to record each inspection attribute as the part is inspected as well as pertinent runtime information. After the operator is done recording data, it is exported as a .CSV (comma-separated value) file for use with Microsoft® Access, Excel, and other data-based software packages. Because every inspection attribute is recorded, the .CSV file will likely contain more information than is necessary for you, but all attributes are saved in the event that you do need it.
