Available as stand-alone or linked with our 300 Series Vision Systems or 100 Series Laser Sorters, our Eddy Current System enhances our capabilities with material hardness inspection.
Retina Eddy Current Systems provide the ability to sort for cracked product, as well as hard and soft product based on boundary samples of each. Combining our Eddy Current System with our 300 Series Vision System, Retina now offers the most complete inspection solution available today!

Head Crack Detection
Many of our customers, while looking for a complete inspection of the parts they manufacture, have one prominent issue they would like addressed. This was the case when a leading fastener manufacturer was looking for an inspection system for cracks on the top convex surface of their parts. Retina engineers chose a model 341 inspection system (part of our Vision Model 34x line) which used a single inspection station to obtain and analyze a high-resolution image of the head of the part.

Laser Systems
Retina laser systems are state of the art inspection systems designed to provide high value quality assurance and process control. Available as a turnkey system or supplied for integration with existing processes, they are the ideal solution for go/no go 100% in-process sorting and gauging operations at production speeds. Designed for a wide variety of product applications, Retina laser systems provide 100% sorting capability for multiple attribute inspection of cold formed, screw machined, molded or stamped parts. Typical inspection parameters include overall length, overall diameter, missing operation, head diameter, part orientation, and thread presence.
M.O.R.E. Reports and Data Recorder
M.O.R.E. (Monitoring Operations & Runtime Efficiencies) Reports comes standard on all standard Model 300 Series Automated Vision Inspection Systems. Retina Vision Inspection Systems give management the production data they want to track and predict throughput and system efficiencies for your LEAN & Six Sigma Programs.
Using MINITAB® statistical software, we perform a complete Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility Analysis along with Process Capability studies to guarantee inspection capability. Offering the industry’s only statistically certified automated inspection system is all part of the Retina Solution!
We offer our Data Recorder option which will record every inspection attribute and pertinent runtime information for your own statistical analysis. It exports as a .CSV file (comma separated value) for use with Microsoft® Access, Excel and other data-based software packages.
To the right, our End of Run Summary gives only final runtime data in the form of total counts for good and bad throughput, and total rejects for each inspection attribute.
Our M.O.R.E. Reports software helps us provide support for our “Zero Defect” inspection process should you need it.
Remote Access
Remote Access is now available for use with all Retina vision systems. Retina has always offered remote support via email to replicate system performance but now is able to obtain images, stored data, and control the operating system via the Internet real-time, anywhere in the world. Customer support and service is very important to Retina and this enables us to respond quickly, efficiently and more effectively than ever. We understand what downtime means to you and in an effort to expedite our already responsive customer service team, we proudly offer Remote Access.
Customer service can now be accomplished through the Internet. Our technicians will be able to access your inspection system real-time with Remote Access. All Retina inspection systems feature Remote Access, today’s latest and greatest processing power, mega-pixel vision modules, U.S. Patented material handling systems, M.O.R.E. Reporting, and our Data Recorder software.
Vision Model 32x
Retina’s standard Model 32x Vision Inspection System is the ideal solution for internally threaded fasteners and stamped product.
